Sustainably sourced and locally produced.

100% pure biochar is made from waste brash generated during traditional hazel coppicing, supplied by Mike Reed Hedgelaying.

This high-quality biochar is created through a low-emission process that locks carbon into a stable form, helping to improve soil health for decades.

Rich in microscopic pores, biochar supports beneficial soil microorganisms, improves water retention, and enhances nutrient availability. Ideal for gardeners, allotments, market gardens, and farms looking to boost soil structure naturally while contributing to climate-positive carbon sequestration.

KEY BENEFITS

  • 100% pure, untreated biochar, no additives or fillers
  • Produced from renewable hazel coppice brash
  • Enhances soil fertility and structure
  • Supports beneficial bacteria and fungi
  • Locks carbon in the soil for hundreds of years

Sustainable. Regenerative. Local.

By using this biochar, you’re not only improving your soil, you’re supporting traditional woodland management, wildlife-friendly hedgerows, and a circular local economy.

HOW TO USE

Please use sparingly and carefully to enrich your soil and to put carbon and nutrients back into the earth.

We recommend you 'charge' or 'inoculate' the biochar in water with a handful of compost or soil before use.

We recommend using this as a 1:10 ratio with compost. Use one litre of charged biochar to ten litres of compost.
